So the battery in my Honda is definitely on its last legs after the past couple of hot summers here in Dubai. It’s been cranking slower and slower, and the other morning it just clicked at me a couple of times before finally starting, so I know I need to sort this out before I get properly stuck somewhere like the middle of a parking lot with a bunch of shopping in the boot. I’m leaning towards getting a Solite because I’ve seen a few people mention they’re decent for the heat here and apparently they’re maintenance-free so I don’t have to worry about topping anything up, which suits me perfectly. I live in The Springs and I don’t really have the time to drive out to a garage and wait around for hours, so I’m hoping to find a mobile fitting service that can come to me at home. I know Saeedi Pro and MPR Auto are both suppliers of Solite batteries and seem to have mobile or delivery options available across Dubai , and I’ve seen some info that A-MAP distributes Solite as well so there must be plenty of stock around . I’m really hoping to find a reliable Solite car battery installation in The Springs specifically, because I’d rather not have to drag the family out on a weekend just to get a new battery sorted. Has anyone used a mobile battery fitting service out this way recently and can recommend one? Also, do these mobile guys usually test your charging system as well or just swap the battery and go? It’d be good to know the alternator is healthy too before I spend the money.
