Last weekend I was in a battery shop and noticed two Varta batteries of the same size with different stickers, and one said it was made in a different country than the other. The seller told me both are the same quality, but I am not sure I believe him. I have a Honda Accord that sits in the sun all day, so I want a battery that can handle the heat and not die on me after one summer. When I got home I looked up an Expert answer on where Varta batteries are made, and what I understood is that the brand has more than one factory in different parts of the world, so the label can change from batch to batch. That made me curious. Does the place of making really change how long a battery lasts, or is it mostly about the model and how fresh it is? Also, how do I know I am getting the real brand and not a copy? Is there a date code or a sticker I can check? I heard it is smart to look at the date, because a battery sitting on a shelf for months can lose life. How old is too old when you buy one? If you bought a Varta lately, please tell me where yours was made, what you paid, and how long it lasted in this heat. Easy answers are best, I am just a beginner.
