Last month I hit a nasty pothole on the road to Abu Dhabi island, and ever since then my Infiniti G37 has made a dull clunk every time I go over a speed bump. The steering wheel also pulls a little to the right when I let go of it on a straight road, and the front right tyre looks like it is wearing more on the inside edge. I have about ninety five thousand kilometres on the car, and I only noticed the tyre when a friend pointed at it. My brother says it is probably just the alignment. A colleague says it sounds like a worn lower control arm or a bushing, and that if I wait, it could damage the tyres and other parts. I looked around and found a page about Quality Infiniti lower control arm replacement in Abu Dhabi, but it did not tell me how to know if my arm is really the problem. So I want to ask people who have been through it. How does a shop check a control arm, and can they show me the play or the cracked bushing before I pay? Is a clunk only over bumps a sign of a bad arm, or can it be a link or a strut mount instead? Does the car need an alignment after the arm is changed, and is that included in the price? Also, can I change just one side, or should both be done together? How long does the job take, and what should it cost on an Infiniti? Is it safe to keep driving until the appointment? If you had a similar noise, please tell me what the cause was, what you paid, and what you would do differently. Easy answers help me most.
