Azithromycin is often used to treat pneumonia, bronchitis, earaches, and sore throats. Many people are probably familiar with the “Z-Pak” which is taken for only five days compared to ten days by most other regimes of antibiotic treatment. In the United States alone, there were over 55 million prescriptions written for azithromycin with sales for $464 million.[/quote]
